My passion is to help  businesses that have implemented NetSuite Oneworld move beyond the initial growing pains of moving onto the NetSuite platform. I help the business move systematically into a steady state with NetSuite. I also advise and manage the integration of the business's other business applications that move data in and out of NetSuite.

I strive to help the business Keep It Simple while realizing that a business's requirements may be complex. Business is constantly challenged to differentiate in the marketplace while serving customers and maintaining profitability. This may cause the business to customize its business processes away from native NetSuite.

It is necessary to measure the gap between native NetSuite and the business's evolving requirements. It is also necessary to implement customizations that fulfill those requirements while being careful to not over-customize. This requires constant assessment and re-alignment of a variety of systems in a high growth business environment.

Modern businesses move fast and are agile. A common result is that the early lack of change management in the founding days catches up with a business. As the business grows to new levels,  the business must manage change strategically and re-engineer various NetSuite customizations to maintain NetSuite performance while keeping the business processes aligned with NetSuite Best Practice.

The change management process involves business process documentation to capture the current state. It is also necessary to meet with senior management and staff to understand the business's future direction. It becomes a matter of managing Oracle NetSuite  and other ERP SaaS applications through a consistent change management process and at the same time, maintain the business's ability to continue to market, sell, execute sales orders, invoice, collect cash, support and service its customers while not breaking systems, losing customers or slowing momentum as the business continues to grow.

I am also involved in the analysis of outside vendors and strategic partners to determine the roles that they play in the change process as well as analyzing the selection of other options that the business may need to continue to grow. I work closely with Finance and Corporate IT and assist in the design of the overall system architecture.This involves the mapping of the data flows between systems.

NetSuite is easy to customize. It is common that the customizations that the business created in the early pre and post NetSuite implementation days and years for those customizations to begin to show their age. This could create new problems. It may becomes necessary to work to remove and/or modify these customizations unless those solutions are Built for NetSuite, and future proofed.

NetSuite continuously evolves its platform and NetSuite Partners create and mature solutions that often negate the need for the customizations that the business has created to fill gaps that may have existed at the time NetSuite was initially implemented.

NetSuite's bi-annual upgrades deliver new features and fixes that improve the NetSuite product. These upgrades may cause issues with existing customizations. The pre-release test cycle is an excellent opportunity for the business to document its processes. This test period also helps identify employees who pay attention to detail while testing and take initiative. The test plan requires that the business document its processes. The test plan developed during the release phase also provides the framework to test in the post upgrade release phase.

After the release, test documentation forms the core documentation which may become the business's NetSuite Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The SOP helps the business  create training programs. The business is then in a better position while onboarding and training employees. This business may then grow predictably and maintain the integrity of the business's processes.

Documentation is essential for change management while the evolution of the business naturally forces change. Good documentation helps the business adapt to change by keeping employees well trained while helping the business prioritize the staging of various initiatives. Documentation also prepares the business to be audit ready and compliant.

Oracle NetSuite has added new service offerings over the years, such as SuiteSuccess, Advanced Customer Support, Tiered Service levels and various service contracts that can be managed to help the business both strategically and technically. These programs provide a way for the business to gain the most knowledge and expertise that can be brought to bear from NetSuite who strives to make its customers more successful. These NetSuite engagements need to be managed to get the most of the programs offered. This is another key role I serve to help the business to gain the greatest Return on its NetSuite Investment.
